Meet the Team

Evonne has 20 years practical experience in engagement and creative learning, specialising in creative curriculum design and supporting schools and organisations to enrich their offer through connections to culture and place. She was the first Development Officer for CulturEd in St. Helens, setting up a hugely successful buy-in cultural offer for schools, which involved more than 30 schools per year. She has extensive knowledge of schools in the region and remains connected to several through her subsequent work.  

She was the first Head of Engagement at Shakespeare North Playhouse, a culturally and historically significant venue in Knowsley. There she was the strategic lead for the learning and engagement strategy, building a broad offer for schools, colleges, universities, families and the wider community. Her management and delivery experience spans resource creation, workshops, CPD sessions, conferences, public speaking and advocacy. 

Evonne’s work supports access and inclusion by creating spaces that are welcoming, engaging and playful. She has experience of developing and delivering projects for a wide range of individuals, using creative process to encourage and support active participation.

Dave’s work combines different art forms and explores connections between drawing and music-making. He uses music technology to create interactive soundscapes and immersive multi-sensory experiences. 

Since 2005, Dave has delivered creative workshops and training for schools, community groups and public events, using his artwork to inspire others to explore their own creativity in new and exciting ways. His work emphasises the importance of creativity and of embracing an experimental approach that welcomes mistakes and the unexpected as a positive part of the creative process.

Dave’s work includes co-created artworks exploring sound art, visual art, heritage, science and technology. He has developed generative artworks and processes which interpret viewer interaction as sound and visuals in engaging immersive environments.

Claire is known for her drawings, prints, installations, and public interventions that visualise how we navigate through spaces, connect with others, and observe the traces of things that are difficult to see.

Claire’s work often involves creating with others, whether in education settings or public spaces. Her residencies in cities like Shanghai, Istanbul, Linz, and Stuttgart have provided time and space to develop her practice. Claire combines her contemporary art practice with cross curricular learning at educational settings including Primary, Secondary, Early years and Further Education.  Her projects in schools use Claire’s skills in drawing, sculpture, photography and animation to create artworks which can connect to PSHE themes such as community and responsibility, relationships and mental health. Sessions typically involve working as a team, encourage creative thinking , problem solving and develop a practical skill.

Claire works with Cultured in St Helens, delivering workshops in schools and staff CPD, has worked with Edsential and Chester Contemporary on their schools engagement programme and was an artist mentor for the Pushing Boundaries programme with Curious Minds and Community Arts North West that supported international artists to develop their arts in education skills.

Drew has held senior leadership roles for the past 32 years, all of which have been underpinned by his expert knowledge of creativity and creative practice. Most recently, he was Chair of trustees of a charity specialising in Creativity and the impact it can have on learning. Prior to this he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Arts Council England’s Bridge Organisation for Yorkshire, We Are IVE, leading their commercial strand of work and being responsible for design and delivery of Creative learning programmes. He is a qualified teacher with over 25 years of classroom experience combined with over 30 years’ experience of leading professional training within a wide range of different contexts. 

Drew has sat on Leeds Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group; was a founding member and Chair of Education for Shakespeare North until April 2022; a founding member and Vice Chair of a through school in Leeds; Chair of a Multi Academy Trust in Bradford; Chair of a Children’s Charity in Lancaster ‘Escape to Make’.

He is also a member of the British Actors Equity Association and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce (FRSA). 

Since ‘retiring’ from full time employment in December 2020, Drew has been working in a freelance capacity with leaders from a range of sectors, unlocking imagination so that problems can be seen as challenges and embracing creativity as a means of driving productivity and building capacity within teams.

As well as writing a number of blogs and white papers, Drew is a keen writer having written a number of plays and musicals and had first novel ‘Tales of an Ordinary Man’ published in 2014.
